Sociologists say 95% of Ukrainians believe in victory — poll

Almost 50% of respondents are sure that the end of hostilities will take place within six months to a year. More than 13% of respondents say that it will take several months.

26% of Ukrainians answered that Russia’s war against Ukraine will last more than a year.

At the same time, almost all respondents provide high (63.8%) or average (32.1%) assessments of the international support provided to Ukraine to defeat Russia.

The survey was conducted from December 19 to 25. 2,007 people were interviewed by phone interview in all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of the occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea, the Institute reported.

Earlier, Ukraine’s military intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the war may end by the summer.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in August 2022 that Russia's war against Ukraine should end with the liberation of Crimea, just as it began with the peninsula’s occupation.
