Earlier this week, the Amarillo Sod Poodles was on the winning side of a 5-0 decision against the NW Arkansas Naturals. Friday night, it was the same score but a different result.

The Sod Poodles were blanked by the Naturals on the road Friday night by a final score of 5-0. The loss dropped Amarillo to 7-6 on the season.

All of the scoring came in the fifth inning for NW Arkansas. It was a pitchers dual prior to that point with Jamison Hill showing quality stuff up to that point. Hill finished with seven K's, but he was hammered for all five runs in the fifth inning before being replaced by Austin Pope. Pope struck out three in two innings.

Amarillo was able to register six hits with Ryan Bliss going 2-for-4 to lead the way. The series will continue with a game each day this week.
