Highlights: The Sod Poodles took a 8-1 lead into the fifth inning before the game was called because of heavy rain in the Amarillo-area. The Sod Poodles limited the Hooks to one hit — a solo home run by Alex McKenna in the second inning. Amarillo finished with nine hits, which included three home runs to back pitcher Blake Walston, who struck out 10 in five innings. According to the Hooks, manager Gregorio Petit objected the decision to stop play despite the wet conditions at Hodgetown Stadium.

Highlights: The Hooks were unable to get going offensively as the Sod Poodles rolled to their second win of the series at Hodegtown Stadium. Highlights: The Hooks scored five runs in the 10th inning behind home runs by Cesar Salazar and Edwin Diaz to help secure an extra-inning win against the Sod Poodles at Hodgetown Stadium. Amarillo and Corpus Christi went to extra innings tied at two before Salazar and Diaz went deep off of Justin Lewis in the 10th. Salazar and Joe Perez combined for four hits, including two extra base hits and five RBI to lead the Hooks. Derek West earned the win in relief after pitching 2.2 scoreless innings with five strikeouts. It was Salazar's second consecutive game with a home run to give him eight on the season.

Amarillo followed with two runs in the bottom half and added runs in the second, third and fifth innings to take the lead for good. Cesar Salazar and C.J. Stubbs each homered in the seventh inning for the Corpus Christi. Justin Dirden finished with three hits, including a double to lead the Hooks offensively.
