The Amarillo Sod Poodles and 5-0 results seem to be a popular pairing this week as Saturday saw them come together once again. Unfortunately, it was the second time that the Soddies ended up with the 0 next to their name.

For the third time this week and the second time in 24 hours Amarillo was part of a 5-0 decision and it was the second straight night that they were the losers. The loss to NW Arkansas dropped them to 7-7 on the season.

It was a pitchers dual the first two innings until Chad Patrick surrendered two runs in the third. That placed Amarillo behind 2-0 as he was replaced by Jeff Bain, who went 3.1 innings with just two hits given up and no runs. Blake Workman pitched the final two innings and gave up three runs in the eighth to give the game its final score.

Amarillo managed just three hits on the night coming from Ryan Bliss, Tristin English and Roby Enriquez. Bliss' double was the lone offensive excitement of the night for Amarillo.

The Naturals and the Sod Poodles conclude their series Sunday. Amarillo is off Monday and will return to Hodgetown Ball Park this week for a series against Frisco.
