Sofia Richie and Scott Disick Split Because She Apparently Wasn’t Ready to Be a Stepmom Yet

Sofia Richie is officially putting her relationship with Scott Disick behind her and moving right along—love that for her! In case ya haven’t heard, Sofia is kinda-sorta dating Cha Cha Matcha cofounder Matthew Morton. Reports say they’ve gone on dates but aren’t in a one hundred percent #confirmed relationship (yet), but even so, details of her breakup with Scott are still surfacing thanks to Entertainment Tonight.

According to their source, one of the reasons Sofia and Scott called off their relationship for good is because Sofia wasn’t ready to become a stepmom to Scott’s three kids—Mason, Reign, and Penelope Disick, whom he shares with Kourtney Kardashian.

Back in September, a separate source told Us Weekly that Sofia’s family encouraged her to branch out and spend time with a new man. “Sofia’s family thinks she is way better off without [Scott],” the source said. “They have been advising her to do her own thing, especially during the quarantine. She has been separating herself from the equation and it has been the healthy thing for her and her family.”

Right now, Sofia and Matthew are apparently “trying not to make a big deal about their relationship or about how serious it is” but “they are definitely seeing each other” so, uh…great for these two!
