Softball roundup: T-M-B spells trouble for RCW/BOLD

May 4—DANUBE — Tracy-Milroy-Balaton proved to be the toughest test of the early season for the new softball co-op of Renville County West/BOLD.

The Panthers came away with a sweep Tuesday in the Camden Conference doubleheader. T-M-B jumped out to an 8-0 lead in Game 1 on the way to a 15-3 victory. Then the Panthers scored in every inning in a six-inning 14-4 victory in Game 2.

The losses were the first two for the newly minted Jaguars. They are now 4-2 in the Camden Conference.

T-M-B had 10 hits in both games. The standout in Game 1 was Amber Hensch, who was 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, four RBIs, three runs and a pair of stolen bases. Jordyn Hanson also had two hits for the Panthers in the opener.

Maura Hagen had a two-out, inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the fifth for RCW/BOLD's first run.

The Panthers' Game 2 offense was led by Camille Dolan. She was 3-for-4 with two runs, an RBI and four stolen bases. Kamryn Peterson and Kiarra Danielson each had two hits.

RCW/BOLD's Breana Winzenburg was 1-for-2 with a bases-clearing triple in the top of the third.

The Jaguars head to Granite Falls for a doubleheader on Thursday.
