Solar energy company vehicles damaged by fire in Escondido

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities are working to determine the cause of a fire that fire officials say damaged three commercial vehicles Monday morning in Escondido.

The fire was reported around 3:40 a.m. at a solar panel company, Freedom Forever, located in the 900 block of South Andreasen Drive.

According to the Escondido Fire Department, the fire spread from three solar company vehicles to some vegetation next to the parking lot.

They say no structures were involved and no injuries were reported. Firefighters were able to put out the fire shortly before 4 a.m.

The Escondido Fire Department says the fire is deemed suspicious, but no official cause has been determined. The investigation is ongoing.
