Somerset County Baseball Old-Timers announce 2022 Hall of Fame Class

The 25th Annual Somerset County Baseball Old-Timers Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Aug. 13, at the Stoystown American Legion Post 257.

At 2 p.m. the Hall of Fame inductions and awards ceremony will begin.

Former players, coaches and supporters of Somerset County Baseball are invited to attend the picnic and induction ceremony. Donations will be accepted. Bring a lawn chair and celebrate with our inductees and award winners.

The 2022 Hall of Fame class includes Jason E. Stanton, Matt Bimeal, Thomas “Turk” Zimmerman, Charles R. Pipta (accepting will be Patricia Steeves), Dusty Davis, Scott Close, the 1971 undefeated Forbes High School baseball team, Steve “Babe” Kutsmeda and Bart Close.

Awards will also be presented for high school players and coaches that excelled on the diamond this season, including the Stanley “Chief” Thomas Award to North Star coach Jake Klukaszewski; Nathan J. Codispoti (MVP) Award to Windber's Cole Strick; William “Bill” Love (Spirit of the Game) Award to Rockwood's Carson Modrak; Walter “Gutch” Bodziak Award to Conemaugh Township's Noah Getson.
