Despite having to go virtual this year, Penn State's THON Weekend still raised millions for childhood cancer research.
- And in today's "Something Good," something amazing.
- Despite changes caused by COVID, students at Penn State University raised more than $10 million at this year's THON. Usually THON weekend on campus means lots of dancing in State College. But this year, because of COVID, THON went virtual. And still, thanks to their commitment and dedication to the cause, students raised all that money to help fight childhood cancer.
- Yeah, it's really impressive what they do. That's actually one million less than last year, but still quite an accomplishment considering all the obstacles. So we just want to say, well done to the Penn State students, because they have a tradition there that really helps people.
- And they, they got these kids involved too. It's so much fun, and it's good to see people stepping up despite all of the challenges and changes. So really going well done.
