Cultures that inspire Brockton Café Bar and Grill

The Cape Verdean and Brazilian cultures inspire cocktails here with their passion fruit caipirinha with natural passion fruit squeezed into the drink.

They have more than a dozen wines to choose from, including red and whites.

The bar and grill still use the original Brockton café pizza pans to make their pizza.

“We changed the vibe from the original place and turned it into a nice lounge. The owner invested over a million dollars to renovate the place to turn it into what it is today,” Perkins said.

When you enter the restaurant, the lights are dim to create a warm ambiance, and blue neon lights line the bar.

The lights give it a nice moody vibe to enjoy the hand-crafted drinks and chef-created meals.

“Being a Black-owned business, we have a lot of pressure to do well in the city, and I know a lot of people want to see us fall, but we understand our responsibility in the community and want to make sure this is a place where everyone feels welcome,” Perkins said.

The primary goal of the restaurant is to give locals the ability to have a nice place to eat without having to drive to Boston.

“We want people to know there’s something special here in Brockton,” Perkins said.
