It doesn't usually work when an artist repeats a trick, and to be perfectly honest, Do Not Forsake Me's video for the song “Episode 1 — The Arrival,” was kind of a masterpiece. The video was a shot-for-shot remake to the opening credits to the cult-classic TV show “The Prisoner,” with the band's stripped-down, frayed-nerve brand of rock pulsing throughout. It was a clever, engaging video for a highly addictive song.

No one could pull that trick off twice, could they?

Don't tell that to Do Not Forsake Me vocalist and drummer Sophia Cacciola and her husband, bassist Michael J. Epstein, because they've done it again with another “Prisoner”-inspired video, “Episode 15 — The Girl Who Was Death.”

The garage rock joy spree of a song is just a solid blast through and through, with the refrain of “you have just been poisoned” lending the whole thing a sense of dark-humored absurdity.

It's also fun to see a few veterans from Cacciola and Epstein's recent independent film, Leah Principe and Jade Sylvan. Sylvan particularly seems to be relishing her chance to revel in murderous glee. What's not to love? (Victor D. Infante)
