Raiche is ready to bring music listeners into her world with Loveland.

In her track “Homemade,” the songstress admits that it’s no easy feat turning life’s lows into lemonade on her own, yet the process can be beautiful.

“I’m in a cold world protecting my soul/ I write the script then I’m playing my role,” Raiche sings on the track, one that she said is a favorite from her latest EP.

During an interview before the release of the new project, Raiche told Blavity about her commitment to co-conspiring with the universe to live the life of her dreams.

“I just live my life, bopping around and being able to alchemize my lows to live a dreamy life,” she said. “It’s changed my entire world, and I’ve just manifested so many good things out of living like this.”

The Massachusetts native has always loved to sing, and it was at the age of 7 that she realized how great she was at her craft.

“I had a solo as an angel,” Raiche recalled. “And I came down from the stage and everybody was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I was like, ‘Wow, did I really sound that good?’ People were so sweet to me about it and I loved to sing already, but when I got that type of affirmation, I guess it was just like, ‘Wow, I think I could actually do this.’”

Since then, Raiche knew that it was in the cards for her to become a star.

“I knew this is what I wanted to do, I just didn’t know how it was gonna happen,” she continued. “But I just figured it out.”

Raiche’s rise to stardom first began in 2020 when her single “Pick a Side” reached No. 2 at R&B radio outlets across the nation, and she hasn’t let up since. She’s received stamps of approval from various platforms, including YouTube and iHeartRadio, and she was dubbed one of Billboard’s “15 Hip-Hop & R&B Artists to Watch in 2021.”

“It’s beautiful,” Raiche said. “I’m really grateful for the team around me and the people who make it happen. That’s the best part. That’s the coolest part, I think, that people care enough to make those things even happen.”

When it comes to the inspiration behind her music, Raiche admitted that perception is everything, especially because the sun doesn’t shine every day.

“To be honest, when days like that happen, it’s like a test of what I’m going to do with it,” the LOVELAND crooner said. “What am I going to do with this bad day? Changing my thought perspective of life has made my life dreamy, like, when I have those bad days, it’s like, ‘All right, it’s about to get good because now I can organize this and something beautiful is going to happen out of this.’”

With a new outlook on her world and the one around her, Raiche said what music fans are about to hear will reflect her shift in perspective.

“My first couple of projects, it felt serious, those first singles and songs. I felt like they were very serious and like breakup music and stuff, and I’m just happy, now, to release some happy, fun, lighthearted music, finally,” she explained. “I think that people are gonna see that side of me and I’m excited about that.”

Moreover, the singer said “LOVELAND is Raiche-Land. … It’s my world.”

The EP, which includes a feature from Ty Dolla $ign, is now available for streaming on all music platforms.
