Sony Pictures might have revealed a release date for the fourth MCU Spider-Man film.

As reported by Deadline, the studio has reserved the dates of November 8, 2024 and June 27, 2025 for Marvel movies.

Looking at a recent article, Venom 3 had been pencilled in for an October 2024 release. One of its stars, Juno Temple, revealed that production is set to start very soon, with the script already completed before the writers' strike and therefore unaffected.

Meanwhile, Sony boss Amy Pascal has revealed that the fourth solo outing for Tom Holland's Peter Parker has been affected by the strike.

This suggests that Venom 3's previously reported October release window could now be the November date, with Spider-Man 4 following in the summer.

Interestingly, Venom 3 currently wouldn't have any other big films releasing in the same week if it did premiere on that date in November (although Warner Bros has a "tentpole" film and Paramount has Gladiator 2 out later in the month).

If confirmed for the 2025 date, Spider-Man 4 would premiere opposite the Moana live-action remake from Disney, which obviously has a hand in the MCU Spidey films.

Tom Holland, who is currently eight months into a year-long acting break, recently admitted that he's "a little apprehensive" about returning for another outing, stating: "There's a bit of a stigma about the fourth one in all franchises.

"I feel like we hit a home run with our first franchise and there's a part of me that wants to walk away with my head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid that gets to bring this character to life."

Holland has also recently said that he would like to see a live-action Miles Morales Spider-Man movie.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is available to buy now on Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store and other digital retailers.
