Soon, you won’t have to leave Tarrant County to go to India Bazaar

In mid-June next year, Fort Worth residents will have their own location of the fastest-growing Indian grocery store chain in the U.S.

Construction of India Bazaar Fort Worth at 8437 Park Vista Blvd. will start on Oct. 16 and is set to be completed on June 15, 2024. The 15,187-square-foot grocery store is estimated to cost $2 million.

In 2004, Kishore Pabari opened the flagship Indian grocery and produce market in Plano, with the mission of bringing products from the streets of India to the shelves of India Bazaar. With the slogan “nobody gives you India like we do,” it sells the best food brands from India and Southeast Asia at low prices, the website says.

“Knowing the cultural importance of food for the Indian & South Asian community, it has been India Bazaar’s number one priority to offer its community a people’s store,” the website says.

The store offers home delivery at the same in-store prices without a membership requirement. Shoppers only sign up for the store app. “Everything in the store will be delivered. Dairy, frozen, vegetables & fruits are delivered in temperature-controlled vans,” according to its website.

While there are several stores throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, this will be the first India Bazaar in Tarrant County. Currently, there are 10 India Bazaar locations in Plano, Richardson, Frisco, Irving, Little Elm, Lewisville and Carrollton. An Allen store is also in the works.

The Fort Worth location will be owned by Fort Worth resident Mitesh Koirala of Tarrant Vista LLC. Design of the new store will be done by East Star Design, based in Forney.
