‘Soooo good!’ We found the best apple pie in Whatcom County, just in time for autumn

We asked readers where to find the best apple pie in Whatcom County, and the votes are in.

The poll had seven local restaurant options in Whatcom County, including Barb’s Pies and Pastries, Just Desserts, The Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe and Great Harvest Bread Co.

The unscientific poll received 83 votes.

The best apple pie in Whatcom County

Bellewood Farms received 26 votes, or 31% of the total, to top the list of the best apple pie in Whatcom County.

The 62-acre farm is home to Western Washington’s largest apple orchard, as well as a pumpkin patch, cafe, distillery and bakery. The farm uses its apples to make pies, apple butter, apple sauce, sparkling cider, apple chips, and honeycrisp vodka. Farm visitors can walk through the orchards and fields to pick their own apples and pumpkins.

The farm is also well-loved online, receiving a 4.6-star rating from over 367 Google reviews and a 4.2-star rating from 151 Yelp reviews.

Bellewood Farms is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and is at 6140 Guide Meridian Road in Lynden.

In second place was Barb’s Pies and Pastries with 24 votes, followed by Just Desserts, Lynden Dutch Bakery with 19 votes and Slice of Heaven Bakery and Cafe with seven votes.
