Sophie Turner is 'SO down' to play Boy George in upcoming glam biopic

It's been a year of music biopics with "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Rocketman" and following close behind is a biopic about Boy George, with Sophie Turner itching to play the singer on-screen.

The Culture Club frontman appeared on Australian radio show "Fitzy and Wippa" and discussed possible casting options for the upcoming MGM film, written and directed by Sacha Gervasi ("My Dinner with Hervé").

The interview revealed George's admiration for the "Game of Thrones" actress and his hope to have her play him in the film.

“There’s been some really interesting suggestions,” said George. “One of the most interesting suggestions was Sophie Turner. [People will say] ‘she can’t play you she’s a woman,’ you know. But when I was 17, I would have loved to have been her,” he said.

After seeing British Vogue tweet out the news, Turner responded saying she would be "SO down" to play the role.

Turner continues to make headlines for her surprise marriage to heartthrob Joe Jonas, her work on "Thrones" and the release of "Dark Phoenix".

The untitled Boy George biopic has not yet announced a release date.
