Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Are Weekend Style Goals Down to the Sneakers

It may go unnoticed to the untrained eye, but celebrity couples have been matching their footwear a lot lately. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have done his-and-hers Timberland boots; Bella Hadid and The Weeknd have done chunky kicks. Today, newlyweds Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner—who are in Paris, France together—stepped out (pun intended!) in complementary couples sneakers, opting for an especially fashion-forward take.

Turner wore a pair of white sneakers with hefty lug soles. She offset the sturdy shoe—platform kicks are trending this spring—with a polished ensemble: a plaid blazer, Dior’s “We Should All Be Feminists” T-shirt, and some cut-off shorts. Meanwhile, Jonas also went for a thick gum-sole style, his sneakers finished with creative lime-green lacing that matched the stripes on his tee. He finished the look off with a tan button-up jacket, simple black jeans, and black sunglasses.

So, while their shoe game may not have been exactly coordinated right down to the color or silhouette, it’s clear this duo marches to the same beat. You could say it’s love at first step.
