There's a Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins game coming up November 5, but for fans itching to see a Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce football game sighting in Florida, it's (likely) not going to happen.

For one thing, the Chiefs-Dolphins game is Nov. 5 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Each week, Swifties and fans of NFL football scroll through social media or online news sites to see if Swift cheered Kelce at a Kansas City Chiefs game. For those keeping score, there now have been several, sometimes with celebrity friends in the VIP box watching the Chiefs play. One time, Swift watched the game right next to Kelce's mom. And Jake from State Farm. (But that's another story.)

Here's what we know and why we say a Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce football game sighting won't happen in Florida in 2023.

Who is Taylor Swift dating?

The Eras Tour singer is reportedly dating Travis Kelce, a two-time Super Bowl champion, star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Rumors have swirled about the It Couple for the past month after Swift appeared as his guest at several pro football games.

Who is Travis Kelce?

Travis Kelce is a tight end for the Chiefs, and the job of most tight ends during a game is to block for runners and protect the quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, during passing plays (when Mahomes is passing the ball instead of running with it).

Tight ends are known primarily for their blocking but something that makes Travis Kelce stand out is his ability to catch the ball. So in the game, his position on the field is closer to that of a wide receiver – which means he catches a lot of passes for a tight end. He ranks eighth in the NFL in receptions and is tops on the Chiefs. He catches more passes than most other players in the league.

Kelce has been playing for the Kansas City Chiefs since they drafted him out of the University of Cincinnati in 2013, when he was a third-round pick in the NFL Draft. The Chiefs made him a starting player the following year.

While Swifties everywhere are just starting to uncover who Kelce is, NFL fans have been watching him play for 10 years.

And whether you knew you saw him or not, Kelce has been in lots of commercials, especially lately.

How did rumors about their supposed relationship start?

Let's go back to the summer, Swift was in the middle of her sold-out tour and had just dropped "Speak Now: Taylor's Version."

During an episode of his "New Heights" podcast that he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles, Travis Kelce mentioned he attended a Taylor Swift concert in Kansas City and had written his number on a friendship bracelet to give to her ... but he wasn't able to give it to her.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he said about not meeting her, adding, "So, I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.

“She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal," he said on "New Heights."

Over the course of two months, rumors began brewing about the pair actually becoming an item. Some claim the pair have already hung out and were forming an instant connection, others said Swift saw the interview clip, and they met after that.

In the meantime, Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, were dodging questions about the pop star. Travis Kelce also found himself the target of many Swift-oriented memes, with Sports commentator Ian Eagle saying Kelce "found a blank space for the score" during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court, and I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead," Kelce said on the Pat McAfee Show, finally commenting on the rumors. " 'You might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ So we’ll see what happens in the near future.”

When did Taylor Swift first attend Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs football game?

On Sept. 24, Swift broke the internet by attending one of Kelce's football games, joining Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, and Kelce's mom in the box. Social media went crazy watching her reacting and post-game antics, such as driving off into the sunset with Kelce. In another related viral social media moment, Travis Kelce's mom posed with Jake from State Farm, played by actor Kevin Miles.

Travis Kelce gushed about Swift during the following New Heights podcast, saying: “Shout-out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy. That was pretty ballsy. I just thought it was awesome how everyone in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her. The friends and family. She looked amazing, everybody was talking about her in great light. And, on top of that, the day went perfect for Chiefs fans, of course.”

News reports show Swift has attended four NFL football games to root for Travis Kelce. On Oct. 1, photos of Swift and her celebrity friends ("Gossip Girl" actress Blake Lively, "Deadpool" actor Ryan Reynolds and "Wolverine" himself, Hugh Jackman) went viral at the Chiefs-Jets football game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

How many viewers does Taylor Swift attract during the games?

According to Deadline, NBC's broadcast of Oct. 1's game between the Chiefs verses the Jets reportedly averaged 27 million viewers, and topped off at around 29 million during the second quarter.

This was the most viewership for a Sunday game since the Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

Are tickets available for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour shows in Miami, Florida, in October 2024?

Kind of, it depends on your luck. And your budget.

Tickets to all three of the Miami dates for Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” sold out via Ticketmaster back in September. However, resale tickets are available via StubHub and SeatGeek.

However, beware as a majority of these tickets are sold by scalpers above face value, ranging from $900 to $10,000 for seats.

Can I still go see 'The Eras Tour' movie in Florida theaters?

Yes, you can still go see Taylor Swift's movie in the meantime. The concert film is expected to have a four-week run in theaters on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
