Info sought in death of man found inside Fayetteville home

Police are asking the public for information into the death of a man who was found with a gunshot wound earlier this month.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, Xavier Copeland, 25, was found June 5 inside a home in the 1900 block of Louise Circle after officers responded to a report of gunshots at 3:11 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

On Wednesday, the Police Department issued a news release seeking information in Copeland's death.

"Further investigation is needed to determine the cause and manner," the news release said.
