Oklahoma City Public Schools fired six teachers who refused to wear masks, drawing additional legal claims against the school district and condemnation from Republican state leaders.

In an hours-long termination hearing Nov. 3, school administrators said the teachers' refusal to comply with a mask requirement put their students and colleagues at risk of COVID-19 exposure.

The Source cohost Nuria Martinez-Keel recounts the saga in this week's podcast episode.
