South Africa's AMCU says to strike at Amplats over job cuts

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU) said on Tuesday its members at Anglo American Platinum will go on strike after the company said it will cut jobs. AMCU president Joseph Mathunjwa said the 48-hour strike notice was served to the company on Monday and the strike would start on Friday.
