South Bend Cubs 6-game homestand vs. Peoria includes Pride Night and Thirsty Thursday

SOUTH BEND — The South Bend Cubs (32-31) return to Four Winds Field this week to host the Peoria Chiefs (27-36) beginning on Tuesday June 21 at 7:05 p.m.

Tuesday night will be “PBS Kids Night” and Molly of Denali will be their special guest at the ballpark.

Other promotions this week include “Tail Waggin’ Tuesday,” which means fans can bring their dog to the ballpark. Owners need to sign a waiver prior to entry. It's also “Triple Play Tuesday,” a bundle that includes game ticket, hot dog and 24-ounce fountain drink for $13 in advance or $14 day of game.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online at SouthBendCubs.com or by calling the Box Office at 574-235-9988.

Wednesday, the South Bend Cubs will celebrate “Pride Night,” promoting acceptance and community engagement in LGBTQ community. The first 1,000 fans will receive pride scarfs. Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Thursday’s game (7:05 p.m.) will feature Thirsty Thursday — $2 domestic draft beer and $2 24-ounce fountain drinks.

Friday (7:05 p.m.) is Fantastic Fireworks Friday.

Saturday (7:05 p.m.) is Spin to Win Saturday when fans have a chance to win a 50-inch TV or an iPad. The South bend Cubs will also become “Los Cabritos Maldichos” for the night as they honor Latino players and Latinx community.

Sunday’s game (2:05 p.m.) is “Sunday FUNday” as fans will be allowed to play catch on the field if they arrive early. There will also be a South Bend Cubs Trucker Hat Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Also, Ed’s Dinosaurs will roam the concourse and there will be an amazing fossil display.

The Cubs are led by outfielder Yohendrick Pinango, who has a batting average of .260 and a slugging percentage of .444. He has hit 9 home runs, 34 RBIs, and has 58 hits on the year. Right fielder Owen Caissie, who is hitting .246 with 37 RBIs and 6 home runs.

South Bend is coming off a 4-2 series loss to Quad Cities, so they will look to bounce back during this six-game homestand against Peoria.
