South Bend Cubs begin homestand against Peoria Chiefs on Tuesday night

After splitting a six-game series with the Great Lakes Loons, the South Bend Cubs return home Tuesday night to begin a six-game homestand against the Peoria Chiefs in High A minor league baseball Midwest League action.

The Cubs bring a 9-6 record against the 6-8 Chiefs and first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tuesday night. Tickets start at $14.

Game-by-game promotions for the 2023 South Bend Cubs schedule

Tuesday is Tail Waggin Tuesday, where fans can bring their dogs to the park. Tuesday also has special priced ticketing. Fans can purchase a game ticket, hot dog and soda for $13. Those tickdets must be purchased 24 hours in advance.

Wednesday (7:05) is Championship Trucker Hat night when the first 1,000 fans through the gate will get a Cubs championship trucker hat.

Then its Thirsty Thursday (7:05) when fans can enjoy $2 sodas and domestic draft beer.

Opening night at Four Winds Field hits all the right notes for South Bend Cubs

Friday (7:05) is fireworks night.

Saturday (4:05) is Spin to Win Saturday where nine contestants can spin a wheel for prizes. Saturday is also Los Cobritos Maldichos (COPA) day, honoring Latino players and the Latino community.

Sunday Funday (2:05) will include 2022 Midwest League Championship replica rings given to the first 1,000 fans. There will be a pre-game autograph session and opportunites to play catch on the field pre-game.

First baseman Haydn McGeary is leading the Cubs with a .373 batting average with seven doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI. McGeary has a 10-game on-base streak entering the week.

Outfielder Bradlee Beasley has a hitting streak of 11 games and leads the club with 12 runs scored. He is batting .302 with 16 hits this season and eight stolen bases.

Outfielder Yohendrick Pinango also has 12 RBI.
