South Bend high school football Week 3 scoreboard: Recapping Friday night games

SOUTH BEND — It's Week 3 of high school football action, and 6A powerhouse Indianapolis Cathedral's visit to Penn highlights Friday night matchups.

Last year's 5A state champs are ranked No. 2 in 6A and look to rebound from last week's loss to 6A No. 3 Brownsburg. The resurgent Kingsmen, meanwhile are fresh of two season-opening wins against Region teams.

Other games include South Bend Riley hosting Adams, Saint Joseph visiting Glenn and Mishawaka hosting Northridge.

  • When/where: Friday, 7:30 p.m. at TCU Freed Field in Mishawaka.

  • Series: Cathedral leads series 2-0 after 37-0 victory in 2021.

  • Last week: Perennial power Cathedral lost 42-35 to Brownsburg. ... Penn picked up a 31-6 win at Portage.

After Chase Miller makes a couple big- first- quarter runs to put Glenn in the redzone, Miller attempts 19 yard field goal, which is blocked. Second foiled field for Glenn in the game. Saint Joseph 0, Glenn 0.
