South Carolina women's basketball score vs. UCLA: Live updates from March Madness Sweet 16

South Carolina women's basketball faces one of its toughest rematches of March Madness against 4-seed UCLA in the Sweet 16.

The No. 1 Gamecocks (34-0) tip off against the Bruins (27-9) at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville on Saturday (2 p.m., ESPN). It is South Carolina's ninth Sweet 16 in the past 10 tournaments, and it aims to become just the fourth program in NCAA women's basketball history to win consecutive national championships.

The last time South Carolina faced UCLA on Nov. 29, the Bruins led by four points at halftime. The Gamecocks eventually pulled out a 73-74 victory behind double-doubles from Aliyah Boston and Kierra Fletcher, but UCLA star Charisma Osborne also put up 24 points and six rebounds.

The game tips off at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville. It is being televised on ESPN.

Fourth quarter

FINAL: South Carolina 59, UCLA 43. Gamecocks will play Maryland Monday in Greenville for a spot in the Final Four.

Brea Beal: 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

Aliyah Boston: 8 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks.

Kamilla Cardoso and Bree Hall each with 10 points.

UCLA: 29.4% shooting, 3-18 from 3.

6:35 left: Kierra Fletcher and-1. South Carolina leads 33-18.

8:02 left: Brea Beal offensive rebound leads to a Victaria Saxton layup.

Second quarter

HALFTIME: South Carolina 25, UCLA 15. Neither team shooting above 33%. Brea Beal leads all scorers with 10 points. The team that makes shots wins the game in the second half.

UCLA really packing in the defense inside of 15 feet, which is making things difficult for South Carolina's offense to do what it does best. Gamecocks 2-11 from 3.

First quarter

End of the first quarter: Gamecocks 14, Bruins 8. South Carolina is 1-7 from 3 and shooting 31% after one quarter. UCLA made three baskets in the quarter and conceded six offensive rebounds to the Gamecocks.

Pregame: Winner faces Maryland

South Carolina and UCLA are set for a 2:15 p.m. ET tipoff on Saturday after a lengthy game between Notre Dame and Maryland.

The Terps won 76-59 to advance to the Elite Eight on Monday. That'll be the opponent for the winner of Gamecocks-Bruins.

The usual starting five in the lineup for South Carolina as it looks to continue its undefeated season. Game will be on ABC, but we'll have numerous updates throughout at this page.
