South Carolina women's basketball faces one of its toughest rematches of March Madness against 4-seed UCLA in the Sweet 16.

The No. 1 Gamecocks (34-0) tip off against the Bruins (27-9) at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville on Saturday (2 p.m., ESPN). It is South Carolina's ninth Sweet 16 in the past 10 tournaments, and it aims to become just the fourth program in NCAA women's basketball history to win consecutive national championships.

The last time South Carolina faced UCLA on Nov. 29, the Bruins led by four points at halftime. The Gamecocks eventually pulled out a 73-74 victory behind double-doubles from Aliyah Boston and Kierra Fletcher, but UCLA star Charisma Osborne also put up 24 points and six rebounds.

The game tips off at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville. It is being televised on ESPN.

Fourth quarter

FINAL: South Carolina 59, UCLA 43. Gamecocks will play Maryland Monday in Greenville for a spot in the Final Four.

Brea Beal: 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

Aliyah Boston: 8 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks.

Kamilla Cardoso and Bree Hall each with 10 points.

UCLA: 29.4% shooting, 3-18 from 3.

2:35 left: Gamecocks on a 7-0 run. Dawn Staley emptying the bench. All 14 South Carolina players have now checked in.

3:55 left: Bree Hall open 3 is good. Gamecocks by 21.

4:33 left: After a good scoring quarter, we're back to points at a premium. South Carolina 52, UCLA 34.

Third quarter

End of the third quarter: South Carolina 50, UCLA 30. The Gamecocks get a nice 5-point spurt from Bree Hall. Cardoso ends the quarter with a short jumper at the end of the shot clock.

2:58 left: UCLA starting to knock down some 3s, with Bessoir hitting the latest. South Carolina 41, UCLA 28.

6:35 left: Kierra Fletcher and-1. South Carolina leads 33-18.

8:02 left: Brea Beal offensive rebound leads to a Victaria Saxton layup.

Second quarter

HALFTIME: South Carolina 25, UCLA 15. Neither team shooting above 33%. Brea Beal leads all scorers with 10 points. The team that makes shots wins the game in the second half.

UCLA really packing in the defense inside of 15 feet, which is making things difficult for South Carolina's offense to do what it does best. Gamecocks 2-11 from 3.

2:35 left: Aliyah Boston block and ball recovery results in Emily Bessoir's third foul. Next possession is a Brea Beal 3-pointer. South Carolina 25, UCLA 13.

3:59 left: What a block by Kamilla Cardoso as UCLA's Londynn Jones was clear ahead for a layup. One of those plays that reminds you that this team can do things other teams cannot do. South Carolina 20, UCLA 13.

7:09 left: Brea Beal has seven points, and the Gamecocks lead 18-10. Points appear to be at a premium today.

First quarter

End of the first quarter: Gamecocks 14, Bruins 8. South Carolina is 1-7 from 3 and shooting 31% after one quarter. UCLA made three baskets in the quarter and conceded six offensive rebounds to the Gamecocks.

3:45 left: Rebound and putback for Beal. Excellent start for South Carolina.

Pregame: Winner faces Maryland

South Carolina and UCLA are set for a 2:15 p.m. ET tipoff on Saturday after a lengthy game between Notre Dame and Maryland.

The Terps won 76-59 to advance to the Elite Eight on Monday. That'll be the opponent for the winner of Gamecocks-Bruins.

The usual starting five in the lineup for South Carolina as it looks to continue its undefeated season. Game will be on ABC, but we'll have numerous updates throughout at this page.
