South Carolina women's basketball vs. South Florida: Live updates from March Madness

COLUMBIA — As it has every year since 2012, South Carolina women's basketball advanced through the first round of March Madness with a dominant 72-40 win over 16-seed Norfolk State.

The No. 1 Gamecocks (33-0) face 8-seed South Florida (27-6) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Colonial Life Arena on Sunday (1 p.m., ABC). The two teams have not met before, but USF has never gotten past the second round in eight previous appearances.

South Carolina is the top overall seed and aims to become just the fourth program in NCAA history to win back-to-back national championships. If they go all the way to the title, the Gamecocks will be the 10th team and fifth program to complete an undefeated season.
