South Carolina women's basketball vs. Kentucky Wildcats: Live updates from SEC rematch
COLUMBIA — South Carolina women's basketball is on the longest single-season winning streak in program history after its 27th consecutive victory at Alabama last week, and it will look to make it 28 against Kentucky.
The No. 1 Gamecocks (21-0, 9-0 SEC) face a huge non-conference test against No. 5 Connecticut in Hartford on Sunday (Noon, Fox), but first they'll have to get through SEC opponent Kentucky (10-11, 2-7) at Colonial Life Arena on Thursday (7p.m., SEC Network).
The first time South Carolina and Kentucky met this season on Jan. 13, the Gamecocks trailed by 10 points in the first half but put together an explosive second half to win 95-66. South Carolina holds a 38-35 lead in the all-time series and has won 16 of the past 18 meetings with Kentucky.
