South Central won its first Firelands Conference baseball championship since 2001 this spring.

And for that, the Trojans were rewarded mightily.

Sam Seidel was named Player of the Year, Karl Ferber was selected Pitcher of the Year and Mike Perry was picked Coach of the Year.

In 27 games, Seidel batted .456 with six home runs, 26 RBIs, 43 runs scored and 34 stolen bases.

Ferber went 7-1 with a 1.53 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 45⅔ innings.

Perry guided the Trojans to a 20-7 overall record and a 12-2 mark in the FC.

Joining Seidel and Ferber on the first team were Crestview's Hunter George and Owen Barker, Mapleton's Kollin Cline and South Central's Kayden Hauler.

Crestview's Mason Ringler, Jarek Ringler and Matt Volz, Mapleton's Matt Recker and Nick Wrobleski, New London's Logan Girton and Steven Justavick and South Central's Eric Sanders were all named to the second team.

Earning honorable mention accolades were Crestview's Brennan Fulk, Mapleton's Blake Benner, New London's Carter Eibel and South Central's Isaiah White.
