South Dakota football announces National Signing Day additions, bringing full class to 24

South Dakota football added 10 new members to its 2023 signing class on National Signing Day on Wednesday.

The Coyotes, whose full signing class after two major signing periods totals 24, brought in six new offensive players, three new defensive players and a special-teamer among its new signees — bringing in at least two players per position group on both sides of the ball across its entire signing class.

USD added its second high-school quarterback of the 2023 recruiting cycle, adding Pella (Iowa) high school product Beau Bush to a class that already featured Pawhuska (Oklahoma) high school's Todd Drummond from the early signing period.

A majority of the Coyotes' new class is on the offensive front, with USD adding three offensive linemen and two tight ends Wednesday to bring the total number of offensive linemen and tight ends in the class to five and three, respectively. South Dakota football head coach Bob Nielson said in a release that new offensive coordinator Josh Davis was "involved" with the recruitment of the offensive players in the latest signing group.
