South Dakota State lands 15, South Dakota 10, on Missouri Valley Football All-Conference team

League champion North Dakota State led the way with seven first team selections to the Missouri Valley Football All-Conference team, announced Monday by the league after a vote of league coaches and media.

Missouri State quarterback Jason Shelley was named offensive player of the year and newcomer of the year, Northern Iowa defensive tackle Jared Brinkman was named defensive player of the year (repeating the honor from the spring season), Youngstown State quarterback Demetriac Crenshaw earned freshman of the year and NDSU’s Matt Entz was named coach of the year.

South Dakota State placed four on the all-conference first team, eight on the second team and saw three earn honorable mention, while South Dakota had two first team selections, three second team picks and five honorable mentions.
