South Jersey fireworks shows too much for just one day: Where, when to watch

Fireworks displays once lit up the skies as part of July 4th celebrations across South Jersey.

That still happens, but the pyrotechnics aren't limited to a single day anymore. For that matter, the shows aren't limited to fireworks, either.

Here's what's happening in many local communities:

July 1

Bordentown Township

Fireworks at dusk in Joseph Lawrence Park. Rain date is Sept. 2.

Maple Shade

Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Maple Shade High School, 170 Frederick Ave. Rain date is July 2.

Pitman

Fireworks at dusk (8 p.m.) from Alcyon Lake/Betty Park.

July 3:

Atlantic City

The Borgata hotel/casino will send 500 drones aloft at 9 p.m. for a colorful and choreographed 10-minute show.

Barrington

A fireworks display at dusk will follow a parade. Officials say the show will be visible from many areas in town but no one is permitted at the launch site behind Woodland School.

Haddonfield

Fireworks at 9 p.m., with viewing on Kings Highway from Grove Street to Haddonfield Memorial High School.

Haddon Township

Happy Birthday America celebration starts at 7 p.m. at Haddon Township High School stadium.

Medford

Festivities, then fireworks, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Freedom Park, 86 Union Street.

Pine Hill

Independence celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. at Overbrook High School. Fireworks will be launched from various locations and synchronized to music.

Mount Holly

Celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. in Iron Works Park, 157 Wollner Drive

July 4

Atlantic City

Tropicana Atlantic City will launch fireworks from its beachfront for viewing from the Boardwalk at 10 p.m. The casino hotel also has fireworks shows every Saturday through Sept. 2.

Audubon

Fireworks in the evening at Audubon Jr./Sr. High School.

Bridgeton

Fireworks from 9 to 9:30 p.m. at Alden Field in Bridgeton City Park, 4 Burt Street. Rain date is July 8.

Collingswood

Fireworks at dusk at Collingswood High School's field, where gates open at 6.30. Show can also be viewed from Knight Park.

Evesham

July 4th celebration from 6 to 10 p.m. at Savich Field, 525 East Main Street.

Millville

Fireworks display at Union Lake Park between about 9 to 9:30 p.m.

Philadelphia

Fireworks display on Benjamin Franklin Parkway at 9:45 p.m. It will follow a 7 p.m. Parkway concert starring Demi Lovato and Ludacris.

Ocean City

Celebration and fireworks from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Ocean City Music Pier. Best viewing spots are between Fifth and 14th streets, while a curfew's being extended to 10 p.m. to allow families to watch from the beach.

Vineland

An hour of bombs bursting in air is to start at 9 p.m. at Vineland High School complex at Chestnut Avenue and Brewster Road.

Wildwood

Boardwalk show starts at 10 p.m. For best viewing, watch from the Poplar Avenue beach.

July 7

Atlantic City

Ocean Casino Resort drone show and fireworks display at 9 p.m. The Ocean will launch fireworks displays each Friday in July.

July 8

Florence

After a concert and food court, a fireworks display is to begin at 9:10 p.m. in Veterans Park behind the municipal complex at 711 Broad Street.

Southampton

Fireworks festival begins at 6 p.m. at Red Lion Recreation Park, 458 Red Lion Road. Pyrotechnics at dusk.
