All-South Jersey High School Boys Basketball Teams for the 2022-23 season

The Courier-Post’s All-South Jersey boys basketball teams for the 2022-23 season.

First Team

Aaron Bradshaw, Camden, Sr. – The Kentucky commit is an All-South Jersey First Team honoree again after another dominating season on the interior. He averaged 12 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks for the Panthers, who finished the year 23-3. He was also named a McDonald’s All-American and Naismith Third Team selection.

Elijah Brown, St. Augustine, Jr. – Brown led the Hermits to a 23-6 mark as he averaged 17.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. He also eclipsed the 1,000-point mark, sitting at 1,045 for his career.

DJ Germann, Egg Harbor Twp., Sr. – Four-year starter directed the Eagles to the greatest season in program history in his final campaign. He averaged a team-best 16.5 points and 3.5 assists as well as 4 rebounds and 2.8 steals as Egg Harbor won its first Cape-Atlantic League Tournament title, its first sectional championship and reached its first state final.

Cian Medley, Camden, Sr. – St. Louis recruit repeats as an All-South Jersey First Team selection after another excellent season at the point. Medley didn’t need to score to be effective, as he averaged 7.7 points, 6.6 assists and 1.6 steals a game. He was routinely praised by head coach Maalik Wayns as the Panthers’ engine.

DJ Wagner, Camden, Sr.The three-time Courier-Post’s Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Wagner, a Kentucky commit, averaged 22.5 points, became the 42nd player in South Jersey history to reach 2,000 career points after matching a career-high with 40 against Bishop Eustace on Feb. 9, is a McDonald’s and Naismith All-American and the three-time Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year.
