Dalton Farms hosts Two Bridges Wine, Beer, & Spirits Trail Festival & Tulip Festival

Dalton Farms will host the Two Bridges Wine, Beer, & Spirits Trail Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 9.

Guests are invited to enjoy Dalton Farms’ Tulip Festival and check out the offerings from a collective of wineries, breweries and distilleries located in South Jersey, The Two Bridges Wine, Beer, & Spirits Trail.

Participants include Auburn Road Vineyards & Winery, Cedarvale Winery, Core 3 Brewery, Death of the Fox Brewing Company, Eight & Sand Beer Company, Independent Spirits Distillery, Pine Tavern Distillery, Salem Oak Vineyards, Striped Lion Distilling Company and Westville Brewery.

Drink tickets are $8 each and can be purchased onsite the day of this event through TicketLeap. QR codes will be available for online purchasing. Festival participants must be age 21 or older and show valid identification to purchase drink tickets. Each guest will be allowed to purchase up to three drink tickets during the event.

On April 9, the Tulip Festival will feature music by Chip Haynes and Nancy Malcun and food and beverage provided by the Red Hen, Potato Potato and Il Fuoco Dentro.

Guests must purchase a Tulip Festival ticket for admission to the farm.

Tulip Festival tickets are $12 plus tax and fees for ages 3 and older and free for ages 2 and younger and must be purchased online prior to your visit.

Weekend tickets will be sold by arrival time to the farm. Guests are asked to arrive slightly before or at their ticketed time to help aid in traffic flow into and around the farm.

Tulips are $2 per stem or 10 for $10.

Second Friday by the Bay is extended to include Second Saturday

The Bayshore Center at Bivalve will expand Second Friday by the Bay and extend it into Saturday. The event will be held from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, on the Second Friday and Saturday of each month from April through September.

Second Friday will feature craft vendors, a food truck, raw oysters, beer, wine, music, a speaker and an opportunity to check out the Delaware Bay Museum and the Meerwald Mercantile.

Second Saturday will include free, educational activities for kids of all ages, craft vendors, music, a food truck, and an open mic at 2 p.m.

Also, spring hours at the Bayshore Center, Delaware Bay Museum and the Meerwald Mercantile will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday beginning April 9.

Join the Easter Bunny for a ride on Cape May Seashore Lines’ Easter Bunny Express as it travels along the rails between Richland and Tuckahoe.

Trains will depart from the Richland Train Station at 1272 Harding Highway at 11 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. April 9 and 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. April 10.

Trains will depart from the Tuckahoe Train Station at Mill Road and Railroad Avenue at 11 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. April 16.

The train rides will last about 60 minutes.

Tickets start at $21.95 for ages 13 and older and $19.95 for ages 2 to 12 for coach seating; and children age 1 and younger ride free.

Cape May County Park and Zoo will host its annual Easter EggstravaganZoo, sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Commissioners, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9.

The annual event includes educational displays, scavenger hunt, crafts, live animal encounters and an opportunity to take a photo with the Easter Bunny.

The event will also feature an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m.

The Bay Atlantic Symphony invites the community to enjoy “Summer Day.”

The symphony will perform Prokofiev's Summer Day Suite and Classical Symphony, No. 1, as well as Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, op. 37, featuring Sara Davis Buechner, on the piano.

Director Frank J. DiMarco said, “The annual Spring Festival is a great way to enjoy springtime in Gloucester County. There’s something for everyone to enjoy at the event, from games and crafts for children, a petting zoo, and colonial demonstrations to food and unique vendors.”

Basset Hounds & Easter Eggs featured on the Ocean City Boardwalk

The annual Doo Dah parade, which is expected to feature more than 300 basset hounds, will be held on April 9. The parade will start at noon and travel along Asbury Avenue from 6th Street to 12th Street in Ocean City, and then up to the Boardwalk, ending at 6th Street and Boardwalk.

In addition to the basset hounds, the parade will include marching bands, floats and more.

Also, children age 7 and younger are invited to participate in the great Easter Egg Hunt, which will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. April 9 and 16 on the Ocean City Boardwalk. The rain dates are April 10 and 17.

Children are invited to bring a basket and find eggs filled with toys and candy at participating Boardwalk shops and restaurants.
