South Korea Launches Second Rocket Carrying Satellites to Orbit
South Korea said it successfully launched its domestically produced Nuri rocket on its second test run, placing several satellites in orbit on Tuesday, June 21.
The Nuri passed its final target altitude of 700 km and satellites were released one after another before the tracking on the rocket ended as planned, 19 minutes after the launch, KBS News reported.
South Korea’s Ministry of Science reported the largest satellite successfully communicated with a radar based in Antarctica.
