South Korean indie artist Cheeze, born Im Hye-kyung, dropped a new EP titled “Blank” on Thursday.

“Blank,” which is the first EP that Cheeze, 30, has released since 2020’s “I Can’t Tell You Everything,” features six songs in total: the previously dropped single “Pong Dang,” “Even If Time Passes,” “Midsummer Night,” “HAPPI,” a solo acoustic version of “Room for You” and a duet version with fellow Magic Strawberry Sound labelmate 10cm, who released his new single “Gradation” in July.

Last month, Cheeze released “Traveler,” a collaboration with two-time Olympic silver medalist Kwak Yoon-gy. Aside from her personal music projects, Cheeze is well-known for appearing on the OSTs of popular K-dramas such as “Forecasting Love and Weather,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" and “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” to name a few.

The singer-songwriter was part of a four-member indie band named Cheeze that debuted in December 2011 with the single “Home Alone,” but members Moodi, Yasu and Cloud left in 2013, 2015 and 2016, respectively. Im now goes by two stage names: Cheeze and Dalchong.
