South Lake Tahoe Residents Cheer for Firefighters Battling Caldor Fire

Residents who returned to the evacuated area of South Lake Tahoe, California, showed their appreciation for firefighters battling the 219,267-acre Caldor Fire on Monday, September 14 by cheering on a procession of fire engines.

The blaze was 68 percent contained as of Tuesday morning as some evacuations were lifted in El Dorado County and others were updated in Alpine County, according to fire officials.
