Both drivers were taken to the hospital for evaluation, and the extent of their injuries is unknown. However, the public information officer for South Metro told FOX31 that the last update they heard was that all victims were out of the vehicles and were OK.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. It is unclear at this point what factors may have led to the crash.

While no road closures have been formally announced, drivers are asked to avoid the area. At about 1:30 p.m., South Metro Fire Rescue reported both vehicles had been cleared from the scene and lanes of traffic were expected to reopen soon.

FOX31 has a crew on the way to the scene to learn more.
