Mueller misses cut at PGA Championship

Grand Canyon University Director of Golf Jesse Mueller opened his week at the 2022 PGA Championship with a hole-out eagle on the 10th hole, his first hole of the tournament.

With his wife Jessie working as his caddie, Mueller went on to shoot a 2-over 72 in the first round at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A second-round 78 in blustery conditions doomed his chances of making the cut as he finished at 10-over, but, he did tie for second among the 20 PGA Professionals in the 156-player field in the second major championship of the season.
