South Park vs. Myrtle Beach: Here are the landmarks, locations in the spring break episode
There were several Myrtle Beach landmarks in the March 29 “South Park” finale.
The TV show on Comedy Central skewered South Carolina’s tourism mecca in an episode called “Spring Break” that focused on Mr. Garrison and his partner Rick escaping to Myrtle Beach.
The show featured recreations of many landmarks locals and visitors will recognize such as Broadway at the Beach, Ocean Boulevard and the SkyWheel.
The “South Park” team also took some creative licenses with other spots.
Here are some of those Myrtle Beach landmarks and locations that you will see in the episode:
Gay Dolphin Gift Cove, located along Ocean Boulevard, became the “Gay Whale.”
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. turned into “Dubba Plump.”
A recreation of the Keep on Trumpin’ store in North Myrtle Beach became the Maga Store
Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen restaurant was changed to “Paula Dunes”
