South Salem's girls 200 freestyle relay team finished 7th overall with a time of 1:42.59.

South Salem’s girls 200-yard freestyle relay team of Madelyn Spier, Olivia Buswell, Sophia Buswell and CC Baurer are the Statesman Journal Athletes of the Week, having won a poll of voters.

They placed seventh in 1:42.59 in the OSAA Class 6A state meet.

Here is another look at this week's nominees:

Riley Davis, Sprague wrestling: He won the OSAA Class 6A state title at 170 pounds.

Lance VanHoose, Cascade wrestling: He won the OSAA Class 4A 282-pound state title.

Mauro Michel, Stayton wrestling: He won the OSAA Class 4A 132-pound state title.
