South Shore early voting: Here's where and when you can cast your state primary ballots

Though the Sept. 6 state primary election may still seem like a world away, early voting in towns across the South Shore is set to start this month.

Gov. Charlie Baker signed the VOTES Act in June, which requires one week and one weekend to be allotted for in-person early voting for a state primary. The number of hours and weekend days that a town must offer early voting depends on the number of registered voters in the town.

Races on the state primary ballot include those for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, treasurer and auditor, as well as state senators and state representatives.

Here's where and when South Shore voters can cast their ballots early.
