New South Wales Alps Become Winter Wonderland on Second Day of Australian Summer

Out-of-season summer snow blanketed ski fields and Australia’s alpine regions in white on the morning of December 2.

Charlotte Pass in New South Wales’s Kosciuszko National Park was carpeted in powder for the second day in a row amid sub-zero temperatures across the region.

Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology forecast the snow could continue on Tuesday as temperatures at nearby Thredbo plunged to -4 degreed Celcius. Credit: Didj Mick Hopkins via Storyful
