Here are the top stories today in Southampton:

  1. The Town of Southampton Work Session scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. is canceled. The next regularly scheduled Work Session will be held on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. (Press Release Desk)

  2. New York State officials reported that approximately 81 percent of inpatient beds and 77 percent of intensive care unit beds in hospitals across the state were occupied. Around 30 percent of inpatient beds and 34 percent of ICU beds statewide were filled by COVID-19 patients. (Southampton Patch)

  3. Do you know this man? He was struck by a car and killed while crossing North Ocean Avenue in Medford last Tuesday night. The police have released a sketch and are asking anyone with information about the victim's identity to contact the 5th Squad at 631-854-8552. (Patch)
