Here's a look at the scores and highlights from Monday's high school action on the SouthCoast.

BOYS LACROSSE

Old Colony 23, Bishop Connolly 4

Will Harrop set a new single game goals record for Massachusetts high school lacrosse with 13 goals. He also had three assists. Stu Burnham added four goals and six assists while Luke Meelia had three goals and two assists. Brody Darling had one goal and five assists and Max Finney added six ground balls. The Cougars (11-1, 10-1 MAC) visit Cape Cod Tech on Wednesday.

Apponequet 13, Dartmouth 6

Kenny Wisniewski scored a team-high four goals while Harrison Lemieux (four assists), Jake Cusson (one assist) and Vinny Olivieri had two goals apiece. Sean DelGuidice added one goal and three assists while Justyn Hooper and Aiden Byers had one goal each. Hunter Owen made seven saves. For Dartmouth, Baron Dutra had three goals and one assist while Graham White added two goals and Jackson Hart had one goal and one assist. JT Charrier made 31 saves. The Lakers (8-2, 5-2 SCC) face GNB Voc-Tech on Wednesday.

Cardinal Spellman 14, Bishop Stang 2

Noah Grigson and Eli Ikella each scored one goal for the Spartans. Mike Jones had seven saves. Stang visits Feehan on Wednesday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Bishop Stang 10, Cardinal Spellman 6

Sierra Darosa scored four goals to lead the Spartans (1-10, 1-6 CCL) to their first win of the season. Sydney Plouffe had three goals while Leah Katz (two assists), Sofie Doucet and Ellie Jones scored one goal apiece. Hannah Lafrance and Teal Galligan had an assist apiece. Ava Meehan, Jill Sferrazza and Caroline Eldredge and Izzy Paiva were solid on defense.

Dartmouth 18, Apponequet 8

Meredith Sylvia scored five goals, including the 100th of her career. She also had an assist. Grace Haskell had five goals and one assist while Sorelle Lawton added four goals and one assist. Hannah Sullivan, Katie Lamothe (two assists), Ava Crane (two assists), Kayle McGee (two assists) had one goal apiece. Sinclair Furlong and Sarah Kelly had one assist apiece. For Apponequet, Riley Levrault had four goals while Emilia Keane and Abby Vincent added two goals apiece. Allison Arruda had 12 saves in net. The Lakers (7-4) visit GNB Voc-Tech on Wednesday. Dartmouth (10-1-1, 1-0 SEC) faces Bridgewater-Raynham on Wednesday.

Fairhaven 14, Dighton-Rehoboth 7

Milandia Coutinho made 11 of her 15 saves in the second half as the Blue Devils outscored the Falcons 6-1. Neely Francis had four goals and one assist while Sydney Burke had three goals and one assist and Carlie Francie and Kathryn Isaksen added two goals apiece. Emerson Bourgault had one goal and four assists while Sophia Murray and Sadie Hubert each had a goal. Catia Fernandes added an assist. Ava Bisonette played very well on defense. The Blue Devils (4-7, 3-3 SCC) host Bourne on Wednesday.

New Bedford 19, Bourne 6

The Whalers (6-1) captured their sixth-straight win thanks to five goals apiece from Tatum Reis and Nora Blanchard. Lexi Thompson scored four goals while Kennedy Franklin had three. Vanessa Bucha and Hannah Blanchard chipped in with a goal apiece.

GNB Voc-Tech 8, Upper Cape 3

Sara Hartford, Kara Ferreira and Ella Costa had two goals apiece while Costa added seven draw controls for the Bears (3-7). Izzy Fragata and Anissa Paiva had one goal apiece and Morgan Teves chipped in with two assists. Cassalice Dias made 11 saves.

Old Colony 11, Bristol Aggie 1

Abby Pitts scored five goals to inch closer to 100 for her career with 84 total, including 53 this season. Emma Canastra added two goals while McKenna Benoit, Addison LaFountain, Marissa Watson and Addison Tyler had one goal apiece. Kathleen Simoes made nine saves. The Cougars (4-8, 2-3 MAC) host Middleboro on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

BASEBALL

Fairhaven 11, GNB Voc-Tech 7

The Blue Devils rallied back from a six-run deficit to capture their third straight comeback win. “Luke Gomes was a man out there today both at the plate and on the mound,” said Fairahven head coach Rudy Bulgar. “We had a lot of grind out, gutsy performances today.” Gomes went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBIs and one run scored. Gomes pitched three innings, allowing no runs while striking out three and walking two. In the top of the seventh, Colby Correia had a leadoff single followed by a Nate Grace single. A sacrifice fly by Isaiah Lopez tied the game at 7 and Connor Sorelle’s RBI single to put the Blue Devils out front 8-7. Fairhaven added runs on RBIs from Ethan Nault, Cam Gordon and Aidan Hassey. Gomes closed the door in the bottom of the seventh after back-to-back singles. The Blue Devils (8-5, 4-4 SCC) host Apponequet on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Pope Park.

Apponequet 3, Seekonk 2

Ian Nickerson hit a 3-2 pitch down the right field line with the bases loaded to send in the winning run for Apponequet in the seventh inning. “Both teams battled tremendous wind conditions in a well played game in very difficult conditions,” said Apponequet head coach Jim Cabucio. Tanner Audyatis struck out 12 while allowing no earned runs off two hits. He also had one hit. Justyn Machie had an RBI and double while Liam MacPhail had two hits and Brody Joly added one. The Lakers (8-5, 4-4 SCC) visit Dartmouth on Wednesday at UMass Dartmouth.

Cardinal Spellman 8, Bishop Stang 3

The Spartans fell behind 5-0 after the first inning and couldn’t recover as they suffered their second loss of the season. “Errors seemed to play a big part of the scoreboard while timely hitting by Spellman sealed the upset 8-3,” said Bishop Stang head coach Brian Rose. Seamus Marshall went 2-for-4 while Cam Letourneau was 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Brayden Bennett (1-for-3), Adyn Simmons (1-for-2), Ryan Jones (1-for-3 with a run scored) and Kaiden Peltier (1-for-3 with a run scored) also contributed on offense. Peltier was the losing pitcher as he allowed six runs (two earned) with two walks and six strikeouts over four innings. Letourneau pitched two innings, allowing two runs (one earned) off one hit with no walks and four strikeouts. Bishop Stang (9-2, 7-2 CCL) visits Bishop Feehan on Wednesday.

Falmouth 5, New Bedford 4

John Walsh went a gutsy five innings and left the game with a 4-2 lead. He allowed five hits and seven walks but continually pitched out of jams. Ranen Goodine was the only Whaler to have two hits in the game. Ben Frenette, Ben Cortes and Jordan Graham had RBIs. The Whalers (4-9, 2-3 SEC) host Oliver Ames on Thursday at 4 p.m.

SOFTBALL

New Bedford 20, Barnstable 0

Lilly Gray was the winning pitcher for New Bedford (8-4, 2-2 SEC) as she allowed one hit with no walks and nine strikeouts over four innings. Hayleigh Chernard pitched one inning, striking out the side. Offensively, the Whalers had an 18-hit attack led by three hits apiece from Sydnee Ramos and Chernard. Abby Perry, Amelia Davis, Annabelle Huston, Endalize Cartagena, and Lily Gonet all chipped in with two hits apiece.

Bristol-Plymouth 10, Old Colony 2

Kayleigh deSousa went 3-for-4 with a double and run scored to lead the Cougars, who also got contributions from Allison Bumpus (2-for-3 with an RBI and double) and Patty Spillane (2-for-4, with a double, stolen base and RBI). Abby Orzechowski allowed five earned runs with one walk and eight strikeouts over six innings. The Cougars (3-8, 1-5 MAC) host Norfolk Aggie on Wednesday.

Apponequet 9, Seekonk 6

The Lakers saw their best pitching and hitting performance of the season with Lauren Bernaiche striking out 17 while allowing just three hits. Bernaiche also went 2-for-4 at the plate. Christina Magnett went 3-for-4 while Sofia Estrella and Liz Cabral both went 2-for-4. The Lakers (6-6) host Dartmouth on Wednesday.

Old Rochester 13, Bourne 7

The Bulldogs (1-9, 1-7 SCC) captured their first win of the season as Madison Mello threw a complete game with six strikeouts. Katelyn Bellemare had two hits and two RBIs while Tavish Nunes had two singles, one double and four RBIs. Emily Kilpatrick added a pair of hits.

Bishop Stang 11, Cardinal Spellman 3

Katie Manzone went 2-for-3, slugged a home run, scored three runs and had three RBIs to power the Spartans. Grace Motto was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Hannah Fortin allowed two earned runs off six hits with no walks over seven innings. The Spartans (3-9, 2-6 CCL) face Bishop Feehan on Wednesday.

Somerset Berkley 17, Wareham 2

Marina Cadena had an RBI while Ari Judge went 1-for-3 and Olivia LaCava was 1-for-2 to lead the Vikings. Wareham (5-8, 1-7 SCC) hosts Seekonk on Friday.

BOYS TENNIS

Apponequet 5, New Bedford 0

The Lakers (11-1, 7-0 SCC) swept singles action with wins from No. 1 Nate Belmore 6-1, 6-0 over Hugo Jacob-Reig, No. 2 Colin Belmore 6-0, 6-0 over Micah Ortiz and No. 3 Will Horton 6-0, 6-0 over Lars Faria. Apponequet’s first doubles team of Jason Demers and Ethan Clark beat Michael O’Leary and Jack Harding 6-0, 6-0 while Nathaniel Kumlin and Judson Cardinali were 6-0, 6-0 winners over Owen Jupin and Joao Desouza at No. 2.

Bishop Feehan 5, Bishop Stang 0

The Spartans, who fall to 6-4, overall and 6-3 in the CCL, host Fairhaven on May 13.

GIRLS TENNIS

Apponequet 5, New Bedford 0

The Lakers swept singles action with wins from No. 1 Maya Fontinha (6-4, 6-3) over Emma Gibney, No. 2 Kohana Fontinha (7-5, 6-3) over Sofia Beltran Fuenzalida and No. 3 Liz Ashley (6-3, 6-0) over Maria Oliveira. Apponequet first doubles team of Hanna Kamara and Lila Neilson won 6-2, 6-7, 7-6 over Jalysa Noriega and Autumn Frias Martin while Emma Lehanea and Amirtha Santosh were 6-1, 6-2 winners over Daniella Costa and Megha Patel at No. 2. New Bedford (1-9, 0-4 SEC) visits Dartmouth on Wednesday.

Dartmouth 3, Old Rochester 2

Winning for Dartmouth were No. 1 Nayan Bala (3-6, 6-4, 6-1) and No. 2 Sophia Waite (4-6, 7-5, 6-2) as well as the second doubles team of Alexandra Cojocaru and Bronte Massucco (6-3, 6-4). For ORR, Charlotte Sisson won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles while Mari Sudofsky and Erin Besancon won 7-5, 6-4 at first doubles. Dartmouth (7-4, 3-0 SEC) hosts New Bedford on Wednesday.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

GNB Voc-Tech 3, Quincy 2

Ethan Fagundes had 17 kills and 23 digs to power the Bears to their 10th win of the season. Curran Farnworth added 15 kills while Ethan Nunez chipped in with 10. Evan Fagundes had six kills to go along with 26 digs. Collin Stuessi had 26 digs and Alberto Gomes had 45 assists and 13 digs. The Bears (10-1, 5-1) host Barnstable on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

North Quincy 3, New Bedford 1

Kishan Patel had nine kills and was 26 of 30 in serve receive while Ryan Dosenberg had 12 kills and three blocks. Carter Barbosa had 21 assists and eight service points. The Whalers (7-7, 2-1) host GNB Voc-Tech on Friday at 5 p.m.
