SouthCoast high school scores and highlights from Wednesday, Feb. 1

Here's a look at the scores and highlights from Wednesday's high school action on the SouthCoast.

BOYS HOCKEY

Dartmouth 3, Somerset Berkley 2

Dartmouth handed Somerset Berkley its first loss of the season. “It was a great game by Dartmouth from start to finish,” said Dartmouth head coach Mark Rossi. Charlie Camisa scored the game winner on a pass from Aidan Cruz, who had the first goal of the game. Camisa also had an assist as did Jake Grieve. Maddux Carreiro added an unassisted goal. Ashton Machado had another stellar game between the pipes, coming up huge several times. He ended the night with 23 saves on 25 shots. Dartmouth (7-4) visits Westfield at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Seekonk 81, Bishop Stang 79, 2OT

Sage Baptiste notched 33 points and 17 rebounds, but the Spartans fell just short in double overtime. Daejon Gibson added 22 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Stang hosts Bishop Fenwick on Friday.

Fairhaven 60, O’Bryant 48

The Blue Devils snapped a five-game losing streak thanks to 22 points from Jack Cunha. Isaac Petruski added 10 points and Ryan Ptaszenski and Hansen Zhao chipped in with seven apiece. Fairhaven (5-10, 1-9 SCC) visits Bourne on Friday.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Bishop Stang 4, Bishop Feehan 4

Alexandria Yost had a hand in all four of Stang’s goals, scoring two and assisting on a pair. Kacey Curran had one goal and two assists while Mikayla Brightman had a goal and Emily Curran chipped in with two assists. Stang (9-2-2, 3-2-2) hosts Ursuline Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Carver 54, Fairhaven 35

Tenley Dakin knocked down a pair of 3-pointers en route to eight points. Ava Morrison chipped in with eight while Abby Thomas and Maya Medeiros each had seven. The Blue Devils (3-11, 3-5 SCC) host Bourne on Friday.
