Here's a look at the scores and highlights from Thursday's high school action on the SouthCoast.

BOYS TRACK

The Spartans captured a pair of wins and a tie thanks to some big performances across the board. Jacob Cookinham took first place in the shot put with a personal-best 64-00.25, which is currently the fourth-best throw in the nation. Andrew Caldera won both the mile (4:53.30) and 1,000 meters (2:47.68) while Andrew Fortin was first in the 600 (1:31.88) and second in both the 300 (40.14) and high jump (5-6). John Campbell was fastest in the 2-mile (11:27.11) while Brad Sumner took second in the 600. The Spartans compete Monday in the Catholic Central League meet at Wheaton.

Old Rochester 47, Dighton-Rehoboth 39

The Bulldogs finished the regular season as undefeated South Coast Conference champions thanks to some all-around strong performances. Leo Schiappa was first in both the dash (6.7) and 300 (39.3) while Murray Copps won the mile (5:00) and 2-mile (11:03). ORR also got wins from Tyler Trudeau in the hurdles (8.9) and John Kassabian in the 1,000 (2:52.3) as well as the 4x400 relay (4:00.3) of Sam Balsis, Teddy Carroll, Kassabian and Colby Gross.

SEC Meet #5

Dartmouth went one through three in the mile with Luke Bloom-Glover (first; 5:15.24), Sam Shrestha (second; 5:17.85) and Bronson Garriga (third; 5:24.03). Michael Figueiredo took fifth in the shot put (34-11).

Fairhaven 44, Seekonk 42

Trailing Seekonk going into the 4x400 relay, Fairhaven needed a win to secure the team victory and was able to pull it out thanks to Luke Morrison, Nate Grace, Nate Branco and Nick Grace with their first-place time of 4:01.4. Other winners for Fairhaven were Westin Chase in the 55 dash (6.9), Ian Pereira in the mile (5:10), Mason Sweet in the 1,000 and Branco in the hurdles (10.1). The Blue Devils (2-1-1) face Case on Jan. 27 at GNB Voc-Tech.

GIRLS TRACK

Bishop Stang 78, Tri-County 27

Southeastern 64, Bishop Stang 41

Bishop Stang’s Ellie Jones came in first for the 300 (48:14) and also set a PR in the high jump. Stang also got wins from Abby Elias in the 55 (8.25) and Hannah Fortin in the 2-mile (personal-best 15:37.8) as well as the 4x400 relay team (5:05.27) of Teal Galligan, Bianca Ligotti, Joan Laroche and Lola Bergeron. The Spartans compete Monday in the Catholic Central League meet at Wheaton.

Old Rochester 57, Dighton-Rehoboth 29

Jen Williams won three individual events as the Bulldogs finished the regular season as undefeated South Coast Conference champions. Williams won the hurdles (8.5), dash (7.7) and high jump (4-8). Alexia Gonsalves was first in the mile (6:12) and 2-mile (13:27) while Audrey Thomas won the 300 (47.0). ORR’s 4x400 relay team of Jill Leblanc, Gabby Pinhancos, Liz Feeney and Cameran Weaver also won.

Seekonk 61, Fairhaven 20

Winning for Fairhaven were Lily LaFountain in the 2-mile (15:25) and Laura Hubert in the hurdles (10.6). Katherine Tortorella was second in the 300. The Blue Devils (0-4, 0-3 SCC) face Case on Jan. 28 at GNB Voc-Tech.

SEC Meet #5

Dartmouth’s Amya Moura won the mile (6:24.83) while Kaitlyn daSilva came in second (6:25.44). Dartmouth got third-place finishes from Kathryn Lancaster in the 300 (47.54) and Maeve Carrigg in the 55 hurdles (10.97) and fourth-place finishes from Aubrey DeSouza in the 300 (48.03) and Kaitlin Silva in the 600 (2:02.00).

GIRLS SWIMMING

Bridgewater-Raynham 83, Apponequet 63

The Lakers got first-place finishes from Devin Sylvia in the 200 IM (2:28.99) and 100 backstroke (1:07.98) and Emma Kelliher in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.08). Apponequet (1-6) hosts Old Rochester on Monday.

BOYS SWIMMING

Old Rochester 86, Durfee 70

Sean Lund qualified for states in 200 freestyle (1:51.6) and 100 freestyle (51.65) with first-place finishes for ORR (2-3) while Skip Holmes qualified for states in the 50 freestyle (first place; 23.50) and sectionals in the 100 backstroke. Other wins for Old Rochester came from Jaymison Gunshel in the 200 IM (2:36.86) and 500 freestyle (6:19.28) and Sam Harris in the 100 butterfly (59.19). The Bulldogs’ 400 freestyle relay team of Gunshel, Harris, Lund and Holmes took first and qualified for states in the process. The 200 medley relay team (1:56.01) won behind the swimming of Gunshel, Holmes, Harris and Lund.

Bridgewater-Raynham 75, Apponequet 62

Alex Keefe and Eugene Jung each won a pair of events and swam on two winning relays for Apponequet. Keefe was first in the 200 freestyle (2:06.97) and 100 butterfly (1:04.80) while Jung won the 50 freestyle (26.14) and 500 freestyle (6:07.86). The pair teamed up with Colin Belmore and Charlie Daniell to win the 200 medley relay (2:03.33) and swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:59.27) along with David Jope and Belmore. Belmore also won the 100 freestyle (52.92). Apponequet (2-5) hosts Old Rochester on Monday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Old Colony 66, Bristol-Aggie 34

The Cougars had suffocating defense from Xavier Pratt and good offense from Ryan Scott, who had a team-high 25 points. Pratt had 17 points while Max Finney added 16. The Cougars played well, getting out on the fast break in the fourth quarter. The Cougars (4-6, 1-2 MAC) host Atlantis Charter on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Old Colony 52, Bristol-Aggie 23

Isabel Hougasian knocked down three 3-pointers en route to a team-high 21 points while Hailey Hathaway sank a pair for 12 points. The Cougars (5-3, 3-1 MAC) visit Diman on Monday at 5 p.m.

WRESTLING

Bridgewater-Raynham 51, New Bedford 24

Winning by pin for the Whalers were Alex Teixiera (120), Nate Caron (126) and Daniel Pexioto (145). Aaron Pimental (182) and Jose Bonilla (195) also won by decision.
