Taylorville sophomore guard/forward Addison Tarr won the vote for The State Journal-Register's athlete of the week poll.

She helped the Tornadoes claim the Carol Schramm and Joyce Wilcox Memorial Trophy with a 61-44 nonconference girls basketball victory over rival Pana at Dolph Stanley Court on Thursday.

Tarr garnered 726 votes (35.19%) ahead of Raymond Lincolnwood's Taryn Millburg (20.21%) and Braden Whalen (18.37). The poll closed at noon on Friday.

Elijah Aumann, Nokomis, boys basketball

The senior point guard scored 12 of the team’s 16 points in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 25 points in a 53-38 nonconference win over Pana on Tuesday. That included 5 of 6 with two 3-pointers in the first eight minutes. He also scored 13 points in a 53-48 nonconference win over Auburn on Saturday.

Seth Doss, Southeast, boys basketball

The 6-foot-6 senior forward manufactured a game-high 27 points, five rebounds and three blocks in a 62-51 Central State Eight Conference victory over host Chatham Glenwood on Friday night.

Taryn Millburg, Raymond Lincolnwood, girls basketball

The junior guard hit the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer in a 40-37 nonconference win over Piasa Southwestern on Saturday. She finished with 10 points to lift the Lancers to 4-7 overall.

Jayce Privia, Petersburg PORTA, girls basketball

The junior guard helped lift the unbeaten Bluejays (9-0) to a 40-34 nonconference win over Staunton on Saturday with three 3-pointers and 16 points. She also scored 30 points in a 64-47 nonconference win over Manito Midwest Central on Tuesday, including 5 of 8 on 3-pointers.

Adam Staley, Rochester, boys basketball

The senior dialed up three 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 20 points in Rochester’s 63-31 nonconference win over Taylorville at the famed Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, Indiana on Saturday. Staley started the first quarter with two 3s and had 13 points by halftime to build a 36-15 cushion.

Addison Tarr, Taylorville, girls basketball

The sophomore guard/forward fueled a 15-point run to begin the third quarter and Taylorville captured the Carol Schramm and Joyce Wilcox Memorial Trophy with a 61-44 nonconference victory over rival Pana at Dolph Stanley Court on Thursday. Tarr scored nine points in the third period, including a pull-up 3-pointer, and led the Tornadoes with 19 points.

Braden Whalen, Raymond Lincolnwood, boys basketball

The senior guard scored 25 points and Lincolnwood’s four overtime free throws helped lift the Lancers to a 50-48 OT nonconference win over Gillespie on Tuesday. Whalen and Gabe Armentrout made two free throws apiece in the overtime period.
