Southeastern University to host US Rep. Darren Soto for town hall Thursday in Lakeland

The American Center for Political Leadership at Southeastern University will host Rep. Darren Soto, D-Kissimmee, for a town hall event Thursday at noon in the Buena Vida West Auditorium.
The event on the Lakeland campus is free and open to the public.
Soto represents Florida’s Ninth Congressional District, which includes a section of eastern Polk County as well as Osceola County and part of Orange County. First elected in 2016, Soto is now in his fourth term.

A former member of the Florida Legislature, Soto is a graduate of Rutgers University and the George Washington University School of Law. He is a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan group of moderate U.S. House members.
