Here’s what’s new at SouthPark mall, Concord Mills and Charlotte Premium Outlets

Several luxury brand retailers will open by summer at SouthPark, while other Charlotte-area malls are also welcoming new stores.

SouthPark is made up of 55% brands unique to Charlotte, 37% brands unique to North Carolina and 33% brands unique to the Carolinas, according to mall operator Simon.

SouthPark offers shoppers a unique experience, Holly Roberson Van Cleave, director of marketing and business, said Wednesday in a news release.

Earlier this week Simon said its U.S. malls and outlets occupancy was 95.8% on Dec. 31, 2023, compared to 94.9% the prior year.

Among the new SouthPark mall stores expected to open by spring and into summer are:

Bally, a Swiss luxury brand shoe and apparel accessories retailer will open across from David Yurman.

Boss, men’s tailored suits, on the upper level near Belk.

Breitling, maker of high-precision timepieces and aviation legacy, will open near the fountain courtyard.

Diptyque, a French perfumer for people and the home, plus scented skincare products and decorative objects.

Tudor, a Swiss watchmaker known for its mechanical watches, will open next to Fink’s Jewelers.

Vineyard Vines, clothing and accessories store for women, children and men, will open near center court.

Vuori, a Coastal California-style performance apparel, will open next to Sephora.

Another store, Zara, a trendy Spanish fashion retailer, will open at the mall by 2025 as part of a larger U.S. expansion plan, The Charlotte Observer previously reported..

Other recently opened stores at SouthPark mall include:

Brahmin, a luxe leather handbags and accessories store based in Massachusetts, in the Nordstrom wing.

L’OCCITANE, known for skin care, fragrance and hair care for men and women, at a kiosk near Victoria’s Secret.

Omega, a Swiss brand watch company, near center court next to Lucky Brand.

Aritzia, a Canadian women’s luxury apparel brand, is open between Lego and Kate Spade.

Alo Yoga, a yoga clothing stores, near Nordstrom wing next to Tiffany.

Royal Reflections, a nail salon, near J. Jill.

And in late fall, Arthur’s restaurant opened a wine bar on the main floor of Belk. The new wine bar offers customers a place to stop and sip, while they’re shopping, Belk spokeswoman Jessica Rohlik told the Observer in December. Arthur’s has operated a restaurant on Belk’s lower level since 1990.

Last May, The Suffolk Punch Brewing opened its second taphouse at the mall near Dick’s Sporting Goods and The Container Store. The Charlotte brewery’s expansion was part of the mall’s multi-million dollar West Plaza revamp.

The plaza project includes a greenspace with stage performance and an inclusive 1,850-square-foot interactive children’s play area.

SouthPark, at 4400 Sharon Road, has 168 stores and restaurants.

New stores at Concord Mills and Charlotte Premium Outlets

Simon also owns two other Charlotte shopping centers — Concord Mills in Concord and Charlotte Premium Outlets in Steele Creek.

Several stores have or will open at the mall, according to Concord Mills website and previously reported by the Observer:

Hollywood Heroes & Villains featuring comics, action figures, novelty gifts and games is open at entrance 3.

MINISO, a chain store specializing in cosmetics, stationery, toys and kitchenware, will open at entrance seven next to Lucky Brand.

Pandora jewelry store will open at entrance 3 across from Steve Madden.

Primark, based in Dublin and known for its budget-friendly prices, opened in November near entrance 3 and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Ugg, known for its sheepskin boot originating in Australia, will open at entry six beside Old Navy. It will open this year.

Concord Mills at 8111 Concord Mills Blvd., just northeast of Charlotte, has 182 stores, according to the mall.

A store and restaurant recently debuted at Charlotte Premium Outlets:

Simply Southern, a clothing and accessories retailer, near Puma and Express.

Cuzzo’s Cuisine opened in December in the food court. For three years every Saturday, Cuzzo’s had parked its food truck at the shopping center off Interstate 485.

Charlotte Premium Outlets at 5428 New Fashion Way has 106 stores, according to the center.
