Southside joins Attalla in closing City Hall to the public because of COVID-19

Because of the increase in COVID-19 cases, the Southside City Hall will be closed to the public for now.

It's not the first Etowah County municipality to try to curb the spread of COVID-19 by curtailing traffic at City Hall. Attalla closed its offices to the public about two weeks ago, and they remain closed. City Hall employees are working, some from home, and people may contact various city departments by phone.

Southside will have personnel available as well. People who need assistance can call the following numbers:
